We are so glad you've found our Gooey Mint Chocolate Baking Mix!
Here's what you should know about this Mood Boosting Functional Baking Blend:
First, let's define a few terms we like to use here at You Again:
1) Functional: Functional foods and ingredients serve a health benefiting purpose in our bodies. No ingredient is wasted energy or "calories". We believe ingredients matter and food should serve a purpose.
2) Adaptogens: These are plant or herbs that when consumed "adapt" to the imbalances within our body to bring us back to homeostasis, naturally! They have been used for centuries, primarily in India and Chia through ancient medicines called Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Now let's highlight a few of our Superstar Ingredients:
Almond Flour: A grain alternative packed with a protein punch.
Cacao: Cacao is a chocolate in it's purest form, boasting with flavonoids and antioxidants.
Cordyceps: Cordyceps is an adaptogenic mushroom known for supporting our endurance, performance, and muscle recovery.
Spirulina: Spirulina is a green superfood plant packed with micro-nutrients and plant powered protein.
Peppermint: Beyond just a breath freshener, mint is cooling for our mind, digestion, and muscles.
Maple Sugar: We are very careful about our sugar consumption which is why we use only a small amount of sugar, but we choose organic, natural sweetener from Maple. We source our Maple from a small farm in Vermont.
Now onto baking! Try these Mint Chocolate Recipes:
Mint Chocolate Cookies:
1/3 cup your favorite very creamy nut or seed butter (we like Cashew Butter with this mix, but any will be delicious)
1/3 cup water
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Mix the entire package with the wet ingredients in a large bowl until cookie dough forms. Drop 1 rounded tbsp of cookie mix onto a lined or oiled baking sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes. Baking times may vary.
Makes approximately 15 cookies.
Mint Chocolate Brownies:
1/3 cup creamy nut or seed butter (like Cashew Butter or Tahini)
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1/2 cup milk of choice (like almond milk)
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Mix entire package with the wet ingredients until creamy brownie batter forms. Pour batter into a lined or oiled 8x8 square or rectangular baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Baking times may vary.
