These immunity ice cubes are a must-have in your freezer. In the winter, ice-cubes may not sound the most appealing, but pour warm water over them and melt the cubes into a delicious immunity tea. Or, enjoy the cubes in your favorite smoothie, or like a popsicle, straight-up!
This recipe was inspired by @kalejunkie, so we have to give her credit! We just *spiced* it up with our Wild Spice Honey, which is packed with Vitamin C rich ingredients and anti-inflammatory, ginger.
Whether you or your family is struggling with the cold & flu season, or you just want to proactively keep your immune system strong (which we recommend!), whip up this insanely easy and delicious recipe.
Ingredients:
1/2 Lemon (washed well, keep the peel ON)
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1 piece of fresh ginger
1/4 inch fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (or 1 orange, chopped with peel ON)
3 cups coconut water
Pinch of black petter
3 packets of You Again Wild Spaced Raw Honey
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour the liquid into one to two ice trays (should make about 30 cubes).
Freeze for at least one hour.
Cubes can be stored in the freezer indefinitely!
